Bachelor of Computer Application

The BCA (BACHELOR OF COMPUTER APPLICATION) course is a full time four years (eight semesters) Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Application. The institution's hands-on experience with real-world projects, industrial trainings, demanding industry-focused course content, interaction with business/industry leaders through industrial visits, guest lectures, workshops, seminars, hackathons, and mentorship programmes all help students prepare for next-generation careers.

Exit option is available for students after completing 1st, 2nd and 3rd year of study

  • Students will be able to get a BCA 'Honours' degreeafter completing four years.
  • Students must complete a research project during their four-year course if they want to pursue a research specialisation. As a result, they will receive an ‘BCA Degree with Research’
  • Students will be able to get a BCA degree after completing three years
  • Students completing 2 years (4 semesters) of study will receive a BCA diploma.
  • Students completing one year (2 semesters) of study in the chosen fields, will receive a BCA certificate.
  • If a student withdraws before three years have passed, they will be allowed to reapply within three years of their withdrawal and will be required to finish their degree within the allotted seven-year time frame.

BCA - What will you learn

The BCA Program was designed with the following precise goals in mind:

  • To entice young people to the rich and possibly lucrative sector of computer applications.
  • Being a graduate foundation programme that will serve as a stepping stone for further study in the field of computer science and applications.
  • To acquire software development abilities that will allow BCA graduates to work for themselves in the Indian and international software marketplaces.
  • Preparing and supplying pupils with the necessary tools to achieve industry standards

Eligibility:

  • A candidate seeking admission to the BCA Course must have passed 10+2 (any stream) securing not less than 45% marks in aggregate & 40 % for Reserved Category (5% relaxation to ST/SC candidates) from the Central Board of Secondary Education or any other equivalent examination recognized by the Dr D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune.

Career Pathway:

There are two career paths available to students. The first choice can be made from among the corporate positions, government jobs, and further education options. The second can be chosen as a general optional minor basket of research, entrepreneurship, or study abroad.
